Patwon Ki Haveli is one of the most beautiful and historic landmarks in the Golden City, Jaisalmer. Built in 1805 by Guman Chand Patwa, a wealthy merchant known for his gold and silver thread business, he built five beautiful havelis, with one designed for each of his five sons.
The construction of this masterpiece took almost 50 years to complete. Every single wall, every balcony, every doorway and every window has been carved by hand with incredible detail. It is hard to believe that people actually built this with their hands over 200 years ago.
