Paramotoring in Jaisalmer

Paramotoring vs Parasailing — What Is the Difference

Paramotoring, also called powered paragliding, involves flying with a large parachute wing attached to a motor and propeller. The motor provides the power to lift off and stay in the air. You fly with a certified pilot who handles all the controls. Parasailing, on the other hand, involves being lifted into the air while attached to a rope behind a moving vehicle — you do not fly freely. Paramotoring gives you actual free flight over the desert, usually between 200 and 400 feet above the ground.

No Experience Needed — Safe Sky Gliding

Paramotoring in Jaisalmer is safe when done with licensed, experienced pilots which is the only way we operate. You do not need any flying experience whatsoever. Thousands of people have flown over the Thar Desert this way without any incident. A typical paramotoring session reaches a height of 200 to 400 feet above the desert floor — high enough to see the full sweep of the Sam Sand Dunes, the desert horizon, and on a clear day, the distant outline of Jaisalmer Fort.

When Is the Best Time to Fly

Both times are beautiful for completely different reasons. Morning flights between 6 AM and 9 AM offer calm winds, cooler air, and a golden quality to the desert light that makes for extraordinary photography. Evening flights between 4 PM and 6 PM are for stunning sunset views when the horizon catches fiery gradients.
